Head
over from the Zugspitz cable car
Mad Mike Küng prepares his paraglider, put on his
harness and fixes the risers at the carabiners. Sounds normal. But all this
happens in the station of the Zugspitz cable car. Mike is planning to jump
out of the cable car at the beginning of the FREE FLIGHT
exhebition in Garmisch. A world premier from Germany`s highest mountain.

With
his glider over his shoulder Mike steps into the cable car. An unusual passenger,
with unusual baggage. “This place is perfect!”
Mike says as the cable car passed the second prop. They
stop, open the door and Mike put his glider out.
150 metres above ground. Enough height if everything is
running well. Not much height if there is a problem and if he needs the
rescue.
“Ready?” Mike asks the photographers and camera team. “Go!” and with a somersault Mike jumps out of the cable car. Head over freefalling. The lines stretches, the canopy turns around and the glider is flying. Mike glides to the valley. But not simply straight ahead. A fullstall and a helicopter are obligated…
“Pure
Adrenaline. A great story!” says Mike after his landing.
“But now we make something smooth. Let`s go for helicopter jumping”
Mike is smiling, takes his equipment and drives to the FREE FLIGHT fair.
